- The addition of electromagnetic stirring (EMS) equipment at the steel plant enabling the development and distribution of stainless steel 430.

- Reactivation of the Company's land rezoning in Zhongdu as part of Phase 69 Rezoning Plan by the Kaohsiung City Government.
2013
- Adoption of the International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) recognized by the Financial Supervisory Commission, as well as International Accounting Standards and Standing Interpretations Committee (SIC) interpretations for financial reporting starting on January 1, 2013.
- Reorganization by renaming the division of assets under Planning Department into Asset Development and Management Division. Establishment of the planning and new business functions outside the Company's main operations in stainless steel.
2012
- Recovery of the agricultural land at Longhua Four Section after the termination of the lease and the government's payment for compensation.
2009
- Acquisition of OHSAS (Occupational Health and Safety Assessment Series) 18001 and TOSHMS (Taiwan Occupational Safety and Health. Management System) certificates.
- Completion of the Kaohsiung City Government's expropriation of the Company's land for its steel plant at Chaoyang in December.

- Completion of integration of offices into the stainless steel production site on April 15 at No. 4, Yanhai Second Road, Xiaogang District, Kaohsiung City.

- Approval for listing from GTSM on January 27. Privatization from a state-owned enterprise on July 5. Listing on the GTSM on July 7.

- Capital reduction from NT$7 billion to NT$3.5 billion. Application to be listed on the GreTai Securities Market (GTSM)

- Completion of R&D for 200 Series stainless steels. Record high revenue of the Company's stainless steel plant at over NT$21.6 billion.

- Founding of the Taiwan Rolling Stock Co., Ltd. in October 2002 to in-source railroad vehicles in Taiwan, with funding from the Company's railroad business, China Steel, Nippon Sharyo and Sumitomo Corporation.
- Re-location of the headquarters to Kaohsiung on October 21, with the closure of the steel plant, the transport department, the machinery plant and the construction department.

- Change of reporting line to the Ministry of Economic Affairs in July in response to the downsizing of Taiwan Provincial Government.

- Termination of casting operations at the steel casting factory on November 1, in preparation for the Warehousing and Logistics Zone project.
- Acquisition of CNLA (Chinese National Laboratory Accreditation) for the stainless steel plant.
- Inclusion of the steel plant, on May 8 and with the approval from the Executive Yuan, into Phase 1 Warehousing and Logistics Zone under planning by the Export Processing Zone Administration, Ministry of Economic Affairs.
